pseudonymize.io is engineered and operated by Paolo Mazza (ma2za). The hosted gateway provides authentication, credit billing, and access to a separate Python pseudonymization engine.
Sensitive data should not travel farther than it needs to.
Many workflows need the information around an identifier without needing the identifier itself. pseudonymize.io exists to make that separation practical.
Infrastructure and processing
The gateway and account database run on Hetzner Cloud in Nuremberg, Germany. Cloudflare handles public edge traffic. The Python engine is a separately configured service; its processing location and retention controls must be confirmed for deployment-specific requirements.
Payload handling and retention
The gateway billing tables do not store API bodies. Successful responses, including entity details that may contain original identifiers, are kept in process memory for a five-minute idempotent replay window.
